Canada has a wholly honourable record of supporting their allies in wars where their own territory was never threatened.

Does their withdrawal of combat troops from Afghanistan mark a turning point in their long history? It was loyalty to the UK and the USA that convinced them to send tens of thousands of their soldiers to die in WW1 and WW11. These were European wars and the vast prairies of Canada faced no threat.
Canada withdrew their troops from Kandahar after suffering vast losses. The issue was debated in their parliament and agreed by all parties. They maintain a training unit in Kandahar but there will be no fighting.
Israel is trying to recruit Canada to support an invasion of Iran. They will fail, I believe.
