HuwOS, I'm profoundly depressed today. A dreadful ruling, another arrest of a tweeter, awful chilling atmosphere.

The good news is that there is a little competition between individuals like Stephen Fry
from twitter
Stephen Fry @pauljchambers My offer still stands. Whatever they fine you, I'll pay x #twitterjoketrial

but Stephen is competing with just about everyone else online too

with the #twitterjoketrial trending globally

@TwJokeTrialFund tweeted
"Joke Trial Fund
The fund, and I feel really quite emotional as I type this, has had donations of over £1,600 since the verdict was announced. Thank you"

Why is it that the majority seem sane, but the loons are the ones in positions to be such nincompoops

Yesterday's untempered joy, well actually, mild pleasure at the limited judicial review of the DEA is sadly now countered by the judicial rejection of Paul Chamber's appeal against conviction.

What utter lunacy that brings the legal system at all levels into considerable disrepute.
Shame on the judges and prosecutors.

And while never one to not take some pleasure in a Tory making a fool of himself being an obnoxious tosser should equally not actually be actionable.

"Representative John Shimkus insists we shouldn't concerned about the planet being destroyed because God promised Noah it wouldn't happen again after the great flood."

Could somebody please inform the above , ITV,BBC ,Independant, MPS etc that nothing is ever going to destroy the planet bar a fictitious,gigantic, planet-eating organism that stumbles across this one and digests it?

The threat has never been to the planet it only applies to the species that inhabit it.

Species that waste their precious resources , pollute their vital and only habitat , and put the love of materialism before their grandchildren's existence will be replaced by others that can exist in the mess we leave behind.

This can only be a positive and is no threat to this planet whatsoever!
