These wars are largely driven by ideological conviction and self-interested parties. The reasoning for these actions, the arguments and justifications, are tagged on afterwards. The common sense which Manningham-Buller, Paul Flynn and so many others can employ seems to elude our recent governments who say they are making Britain safer.

"The Taliban are not Al-Qaeda. The Taliban will never attack us in our own cities".

True but if anything would encourage them to do so, would be our presence in Afghanistan.

Because of this illegal invasion we creating Terrorist evey day we are there.

It is unaccapteble to tow the line that British soldiers are fighting for a life or death cause (as the government and 'top brass' says) rather than accept the truth.

Quit Afghanistan. Quit sacrificing our soldiers for the convenience of the ruling classes. The Taliban are not Al-Qaeda. The Taliban will never attack us in our own cities.
