Big Pharma lobbyists are circling.
The German delegates to the Council of Europe were told in an unsigned Government document to vote against my report. The reason appears to be to avoid criticism of their national decision to buy an excessive number of vaccines.
If evidence is needed of the questionable value and possible danger of the Swine Flu vaccine it comes from France. Only one in twenty doctors took the vaccine themselves and many refused to prescribe it to their patients. Sarkozy ordered Army doctors in to fill the gap.
Yesterday resignations from the WHO's review committee are encouraging. The committee is 18 strong. They have the task of deciding whether the decision of the Emergency Committee that panicked the world last June was justified. Six of the committee were members of the Emergency Committee. No doubt they will be strongly motivated to attend committee meetings and to influence other committee members. It's odd to ask a third of the committee to review their own conduct.
The WHO still refuse to name the members of the Emergency Committee or to publish their interests. After yesterday we know the names of two of them and they have contacts with the pharmaceutical industry or the vaccine manufacturers. I wonder if the other four will 'out' themselves.
At 9.00 am on Monday I was told that my report would not be considered on Thursday. It had been moved to the graveyard slot of Friday when few delegates are here. A small turn-out means that the vote can be manipulated.
I raised this in the Socialist group and later in the Hemicycle. A vote was taken and the report was restored to Thursday by 69 votes to 30. A British Tory was behind the move and opposed my proposal.
There are other indications that an attempt is being made to undermine the report. It's possible that Big Pharma may have had a hand in this. But I have no evidence to prove this. However past experience suggests that their lobbyists and subtle, numerous and leave few traces. Their contracts involve £billions and they are playing for high stakes.
Paul, if you can document that there are still 4 members of the IHR Review Committee who are or have been on the 2009 pandemic emergency committee, please do so.
Who are they?
I have confidential knowledge from WHO officials that there are NOT four more IHR Review Committee members who are or were on the 2009 pandemic emergency committee.
You obviously think you have Non-confidential knowledge that there ARE. Please tell us the names of the four, and why you think those four are on the 2009 pandemic emergency committee (even if "why you think so" can only be: "I have a confidential source").
