"Some marry for love, some marry money and some marry for the British passport."

Please explain how this applies exclusively to women.

Dear Paul

I can see what Lembit sees in Katie Green but I can't understand what she sees in him.

As a romantic I would like to think it is the bank balance.

Women can be terribly fickle when it comes to prospects.

Some marry for love, some marry money and some marry for the British passport.

Yours sincerely

"Having railed against the iniquity of income from second jobs I now have a twinge of guilt. It was not Howard that I had in mind. It was the greedhogs who are prostituting their offices and contacts to Mega-greed PLC."

Either being an MP is a full time job requiring full time commitment, or it isn't - you can't have one rule for people you mistrust and another for your mates.

If the root concern was that the Register of Members Interests etc doesn't do enough to stop people "prostituting their offices", then that's the argument that should have been made.
