Sally Ann

When are you going to be a candiadte Johnny Foreigner?

Sally Ann

Thanks. There is big internal debate onthe future shape of the Lords.
I'm on the side of election but many MPs fret abour the status of the Commons being challenged.

There is no justification for the bishops. They representent the Church of England in England only. There is a reluctance to take them on.

Chris Gale

Interesting about the report on Lords reform.
My own view, purely personal, is that no chamber is democratic unless it is totally elected.
We should introduce a two chamber elected system without delay.
Plus, why are Bishops allowed in the House of Lords still? That is a travesty of democracy as is all the rest of them who were never voted for by anyone having any say over the laws of the country.

Ooops!

Typo para. 6. ...are so dull., should read ....are not so dull.

There again, maybe the original is more in line with their actual perceptions.

What's the problem Paul?

Cameron just has to press the 'Good Faith' button, apologise, mention that lessons have been learned and move on.

There's certainly more than enough precedence. Byers, Blunkett, Jowell, Harmon, Hain etc. etc. et bloody cetera.

I look forward to another resounding electoral victory for the 'None of these Turkeys Party' wherein our supporters will stay away in droves from the Electoral process or alternatively, endorse their Ballot Papers with our watchword:

'None of these Turkeys'

I really think that it's high time we had some politicians with just a modicum of integrity and who realise that we, the great unwashed, are so dull as they think we are.

These comments apply in equal measure to that bunch of over-promoted chancers down at the Bay.

In the interest of courtesy and probity I must add that present company may be excepted from my remarks.

Your pal.

johnny.
