I returned to Parliament yesterday, the day my suspension ended. I tabled these three EDMs. One states in restrained terms the lethal lie that has consigned 433 of our brave soldiers to early graves.
CALDICOT AND WENTLOOGE LEVELS DRAINAGE BOARD
- Session: 2012-13
- Date tabled: 19.10.2012
- Primary sponsor: Flynn, Paul
- Sponsors: That this House congratulates whistleblowers and the Wales Audit Office for revealing the scandalous abuses of the Governance of the Caldicot and Wentlooge Internal Drainage Board; urges the resignation of complicit members of the board and urgent action to recoup the sums of 100,000 unlawfully claimed by board staff; is shocked by evidence of decades of cronyism when board members and staff forgot their duty to serve the public and ran the board as a private fiefdom; and urges radical action to remove the three Welsh boards from local control and further urges English authorities to conduct audits of the hundred similar bodies in England.
HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE CHARLES' LETTERS TO MINISTERS
- Session: 2012-13
- Date tabled: 19.10.2012
- Primary sponsor: Flynn, Paul
- Sponsors: That this House is surprised that the Attorney General believes that the status of His Royal Highness Prince Charles as heir to the throne would be damaged if his views were not concealed from the public; believes that this shows that his reputation is fragile; and further believes that lobbying transparency should be applied universally.
TERRORIST THREAT TO THE UK
- Session: 2012-13
- Date tabled: 19.10.2012
- Primary sponsor: Flynn, Paul
- Sponsors: That this House notes that Ministers have recently repeated the claim that the lives of British soldiers should be put at risk in Afghanistan to counter the alleged Afghan Taliban terrorist threat to the UK; believes that there is no truth in this claim and that the lives of British soldiers should not be sacrificed when no threat to the UK exists; and calls on the Coalition Government to adopt an independent foreign policy.
spot on with all three , Paul
