Congratulation to the Cardiff University team who have been have unearthed fascinating fins in Caerleon. A professor of archaelogy from Birmingham described the fine as ones of world importance. Alos on show is stout Roman drain that is still doing its job two thousand years after it was built. A giant lead pipe has also been find. It could still be acting as a drain. This area is the Ultra Vires of the 2nd Roman Legion's headquarters. It was once one of the biggest centres of population in Britain. Caerleon already has the magnificent Amphitheatre, Roman Baths and Barracks. In past few days 5,000 visitors have visited the new excavations.

It's really fascinating how the Romans could design such magnificent and efficient edifices. And it seems they are the first civilization to introduce recycling, evidenced by the use of broken roof tiles as walls. It's amazing.
