Such great events turn on such basic human interaction. Given this, how is Gordon Brown in power? The man is shockingly rude to people. There must be thousands waiting for an opportunity for revenge.

Yes KayTie, I am sure that many other major events are determined by trivial slights. Aneurin Bevan lost the loyalty of many MPs because of his neglect of small courtesies and his the liberal insults he threw at comrades. This anecdote is very convincing.

Andrew Hunter later resigned as a Tory Mp and sat as a DUP one.
